Pre-registration and payment is required for all classes at least two days before the scheduled class date. Classes will be cancelled if there is not enough interest.
Basic Camera Use Learn the basics of your cameras controls. F-stop, shutter speed, color temperature, ISO, lenses, basic flash are some topics that will be covered. The relationship between the cameras controls will also be covered so a full understanding of stopping motion, and depth of field will be explained. A camera with more than just a program mode is best, but even if you only have a point-and-shoot camera this class will benefit you. 90 minutes long. $25 Date & Time: TBA
Advanced Camera Use Creative ways to use the shutter speed to show, enhance and eliminate motion. Off-camera flash techniques, custom white balance are some of the topics that will be demonstrated in this class. For this class you need to have different exposure modes on your camera and interchangeable lenses is suggested. 90 minutes long. $25 Date & Time: TBA
Studio Photography Ever wonder how studio strobes work? We look at the equipment, light modifiers, backgrounds and the effect each has on a subject. Posing and basic lighting styles will be cover. You can take a few photographs with the studio equipment in this class but your camera must have a pc port and manual control of the exposure. One hour long. $25 Date & Time: TBA
Understanding Color Management Understanding the color settings in the printer driver, printer calibration, monitor calibration, color profiles and how it all works together. These class is a must if you are serious about digital photography. One hour long. $25 Date & Time: TBA
After Dark We'll take our cameras outside for a walk around downtown and take some photographs of the colors that make up the night. Seeing the color temperatures of the different light sources, composition, fill flash, and long exposures are the main topics that will be covered. A tripod is a must! 90 minutes long. $25 Date & Time: TBA
